The NM Engineering Rear Adjustable Billet Sway Bar End Links are designed to deliver more precise sway bar operation and improved durability for MINI R-chassis vehicles. By replacing the factory links with a stronger, adjustable, all-metal solution, these links provide more direct suspension feedback and better chassis control—especially on lowered vehicles or those equipped with larger aftermarket sway bars.
The adjustable design offers three primary advantages:
- Direct transmission of suspension movement to the sway bar
- Proper sway bar positioning on lowered vehicles
- Elimination of sway bar preload caused by uneven bar geometry
At the core of the design is aerospace-grade 7075-T6 aluminum, precision CNC-machined in California. This high-strength alloy offers tensile strength comparable to steel while remaining significantly lighter. Compared to common 6061-T6 aluminum, 7075-T6 provides nearly double the tensile strength, making it ideal for high-stress suspension components.
The link bodies are carefully machined with reduced center sections to minimize weight and maintain clearance around brake lines and pad sensor wiring. Despite the slim profile, the 7075-T6 construction ensures exceptional strength and rigidity.
To further enhance durability, NM Engineering uses precision CNC-machined stainless steel ball-joint spacers, which offer greater strength and wear resistance than aluminum alternatives. A specially designed thin jam nut allows for increased adjustment range compared to typical aftermarket links.
The rear links are engineered 25mm shorter than factory length to compensate for lowered ride heights, ensuring the sway bar arms remain in a neutral operating position. This makes them an ideal solution for vehicles with lowering springs or coilover systems.
